The rooms at Tropi Rock are all artful, tasteful and well-maintained. All are colorful, with a “homey” feel and definitely not like rooms at cookie-cutter beach hotels. Many rooms utilize bright colors reminiscent of the tropical flowers blooming outside them. Others are more subdued with restful shades of mauve, seafoam and turquoise. All are decorated with custom furnishings and unique, whimsical accents – many handmade in Mexico. Every room has ceramic tile floors, full tile baths, and cable TV. Our hotel telephone system is state-of-the-art and we offer complimentary local and 800 calls, voice messaging, and wakeup service. We also offer complimentary, reliable wireless internet access – the first hotel in the city to do so years ago – and to the best of our knowledge the only hotel that has never charged one dime for this service.
Whether you choose a standard Guest Room, a spacious Efficiency with full kitchen, a Compact Efficiency with its little galley cooking area, or our nicest - a big One Bedroom Apartment – your room will be clean, comfortable and definitely memorable. We promise. For your information, we provide maid service every day of the year. This may seem like a minor detail, but please keep it in mind as you compare us to other affordable hotels in our area. We think you’ll be pleased. In addition to our full-time maids, we even employ a full-time, salaried maintenance man whose sole purpose is to maintain our property and grounds. TAX: Please add 11% taxes to the rates quoted above.
EXTRA PEOPLE: Our rates are based on 1 or 2-person occupancy. We will add a nightly surcharge of $15.00 + tax for each additional person 12 years or older.
DEPOSIT: We require a one-night advance deposit to guarantee your reservation. The deposit will be charged to any major credit card of your choosing.
CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that you must cancel your reservation, please provide written notification of the cancellation at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, in order to receive a full refund of the one-night deposit. Email notification is fine. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations, late arrivals, or early departures.
PAYMENT: Rates are in US Dollars and are payable by cash, Travelers Checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club or Discover. The balance of charges for your visit is due upon arrival.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Our check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. If you might be arriving late (say, past 10 p.m.), then please let us know so we can prearrange an “after hours” process for you.
SMOKING: You'll be happy to know that all our rooms have been strictly non-smoking for years, but smokers are welcome to enjoy their favorite brand anywhere on the outdoor portions of our property.
PARKING: Parking is free for our guests at Tropi Rock, one car per room with no exceptions.
PETS: One small pet (25 pounds or less) may be permitted, but ONLY with prior management approval. If accepted, there will be a fee of $10.00 + tax per day. Guests will be responsible for any property damage caused by their pet. Dogs must never be left unattended in the room and must be on a leash at all times. Barking dogs are not permitted.
NOISE, VISITORS, ETC: We try hard to meet our guests’ expectations of Tropi Rock as a laid-back, tranquil place – away from the stresses of everyday life. That is the overwhelming reason so many folks love our little slice of paradise, and why so many come here year after year. Please, if you are a “party animal” then this is probably the wrong place for you unless you’re willing to leave the party mode behind while you are here. No large gatherings, no parties, no rowdies, no visitors, no how, no way. Can’t be much clearer than that!
AGE: You must be at least 21 years old to rent a room.
SPRING BREAK: We’re very sorry, but we don’t accept the college spring break business. It’s just too disruptive for everyone else in the hotel. Families with well-behaved children are always welcome. |
